At Ark we see ourselves as facilitators, providing opportunity where it otherwise wouldn’t exist.
We seek to provide and promote that opportunity by identifying need, to ensure that all whom we come in contact with have the chance to raise their aspirations and release their potential, especially but not exclusively through non-formal activities, holiday clubs and sport.
ARK : The Charity name was inspired by the biblical image of the Ark. A strong, stable refuge
that would act as a safe shelter during stormy times. With its heart in Oundle and the surrounding
villages the Charity defines its interest in investing in the community youth and operates under
the title
.
The Ark Endowment Fund was registered with the Charity Commission as a Trust in 2005.
Based in Oundle we are known locally as
and are a non-denominational Christian charity working within three key areas:
- Education
- Community
- Youth work
In all these areas we seek to collaborate with other charitable or voluntary organisations, local churches and public sector organisations.
has close ties with CROPS, a Christian Educational Trust in Peterborough and local Oundle charity, OCYA (Oundle Churches Youth Association).
